The 4th edition of the Koeman Cup by Fundación Sportium raises over €41,000

Barcelona, July 19, 2024. The Barcelona Golf Club hosted the fourth edition of the Koeman Cup by Fundación Sportium on July 19. The event, promoted by Ronald Koeman, current national coach of the Netherlands and former coach of F.C. Barcelona, has once again established itself as one of the main events supported by Fundación Sportium.

Among the more than 150 participants who attended the Koeman Cup by Fundación Sportium and took part in the golf and paddle tournaments were many sports personalities, such as Ricky Rubio, Edwin Van der Sar, Miguel Angel Nadal, Cuco Ziganda, Paco Jémez, former coach of Rayo Vallecano, and Julio Salinas, among others.

A charity sports tournament

Fundación Sportium sponsors the event promoted by Ronald Koeman for the third consecutive time, which this year reaches its fourth edition. In 2023, the Foundation closed the year with 8 projects aimed at promoting social inclusion through sport, benefiting more than 2,000 people. For 2024, the Foundation has renewed significant agreements, such as its commitment with the Escuela Senior Femenina Fulanita de Tal. Additionally, it is implementing new initiatives in collaboration with the Real Federación Española de Atletismo, focusing on social integration through athletics and providing support to athletes in vulnerable situations.

In this edition of the Koeman Cup by Fundación Sportium, the Cruyff Foundation will once again be the beneficiary of the €41,104 raised. These funds will be used for the activities that the Cruyff Foundation carries out globally to help young people with needs overcome their difficulties through sports.
